Nidžara Ahmetašević
Nidžara Ahmetašević is an independent researcher and journalist based in the Balkans. Her work is focused on human rights, migration, media, propaganda, and the process of facing the past in post-conflict countries. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Al Jazeera English, The Guardian, The Observer, Balkan Insight, Rolling Stones. Nidžara holds a PhD from the University of Graz. In 2022, she was short-listed for the European Press Prize in the category of Public Discourse and received the Fetisov Journalism Prize for outstanding contribution to peace. She has received numerous fellowships, including the AHDA Columbia University Fellowship, the Chevening Scholarship, and the UNICEF Keizo Obuchi Award.
