Leopoldo Tartaglia is an italian trade union delegate for the public sector. In 1997 he joined the Confederal Secretariat of the CGIL (Confederazione Generale Italiana del Lavoro) in Padua, where he coordinated the CGIL International Department from 2011 to 2015. From 2016 to March 2023, he held a position at the SPI CGIL Pensioners’ Union (Sindacato pensionati italiani) on migration and international policies, for which he has been responsible since 2019.Tartaglia is currently a member of the General Assembly of the national SPI CGIL. He was also one of the founders and coordinators of the Social Europe Forum and of TUNE (Trade Unionist Network Europe), which cooperates with the European Left Group.
