Daniel Cirera
Daniel Cirera serves as the General Secretary of the Scientific Council at the Gabriel Péri Foundation. During the 1980s and 1990s, he held leadership roles within the Mouvement de Paix and authored “Missiles for What?” in 1990. His engagement expanded to encompass European, institutional, and political spheres.
Between 2000 and 2008 he was in charge of International Relations and European issues for the French Communist Party. He played a pivotal role in the foundation of the Gabriel Péri Foundation in 2004, assuming leadership as General Secretary of the Scientific Council and facilitating international initiatives. He has published the “Social democracy: failure and the end of the cycle” (2009) and “Germany-France: from reconciliation to unequal partnership” (2015). In the last period, he has been working on the consequences and outlets of social movements and the relationship between the working classes and politics. Additionally, he co-edited the book “Regards croisés USA – France, Mouvements et politique en temps de crises” (2022).
