transform! austria was founded in September 2006. It is an association for the promotion of left discussion and politics. Its goal is to enhance cooperation between progressive scholars in various disciplines and focus their theoretical and pracitical knowledge, strategic competence and everday insights. The left needs this kind of networking in order to challenge the prevailing subordination of human capacity and life prospects to neoliberalism. transform.at defines itself in opposition to neoliberalism, patriarchy, sexism and fundamentalism of all kinds and functions as a discussion forum for left, democratic, feminist, anti-authoritarian and anti-paternalistic positions, which it intends to broaden with a strong international dimension.
