Seminar: Current Crisis in Central and Eastern Europe

The aim of this meeting is to analyze the the social and economic crisis in the CEE countries, to identify differences and common characteristics regarding the old EU member states and to summarize common experiences.

The participants of this work meeting will be representatives of the so called traditional or old EU member states as well as of the new member states from Central and Eastern Europe. We expect to host apx. 50 participants from Czech Republic and abroad.

The thematic program will be structured as follows:

– economy

– social situation of the societies in CEE countries

– political situation and the position of the Left with regard to to the crisis

– debate on whether there is a common leftist vision regarding the social development and the alternatives.

We are convinced that your participation would contribute to a deeper and more diverse analysis from different points of view. That is why it would be a pleasure for us to welcome you at this seminar.
