Conference on Integral Ecology: For a Social Ecological Transformation

This conference will gather contributions that explore possibilities of a transversal social ethics between different starting points in the sense of Laudato si’ and of a social ecological transformation, welcoming proposals from all disciplinary fields, aimed at exploring the relevance of the encyclical for thinking about alternatives to the current anthropological and socio-ecological crisis. An initiative of DIALOP transversal dialogue project, transform! europe and Rosa-Luxemburg-Foundation to promote a transversal dialogue between Christians and Leftists, starting from Laudato Si’ on ecological issues, coordinated by Sophia University Institute.

45 scholars and relevant experts in the field, both from the left and from Christian backgrounds, such as Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonca (Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education – Vatican) and Walter Baier (President of the Party of the European Left) will participate in this conference at the Sophia University Institute in Loppiano (Florence-Italy).
