XV Cursa i Caminada Lluís Companys (15th Lluís Companys Race and Walk) takes place as a tribute to the L’Olimpíada Popular de Barcelona (Barcelona People’s Olympics), which was organised by civil organisations and actors as an alternative sporting event in response to the xenophobic and ugly nature of the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
This year there will be 3 options:
ON-SITE RACE: starts from the Lluís Companys Stadium and runs two laps around the Olympic Ring. It is more appropriate for people with a certain physical shape.
VIRTUAL RACE: like the presential one, you have to be in good shape, but you can run virtually whenever you want and at the time you want withe the ViRace App.
ON-SITE WALK: it is suitable for everyone; big people, families, neighbours, groups of AFAS, groups of excursions… At Montjuïc Castle, there will be a brief presentation on what they mean.
